The Joint Commission’s mission is to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations. Since 1951, we have developed state –of-the-art, professionally based standards and evaluated the compliance of health care organizations against these benchmarks. We currently seek a Field Director to oversee our Disease Specific Care team of surveyors.

The position is located at our offices in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

Description Provides direction and leadership to surveyors and reviewers.  Selects, manages, trains and evaluates surveyors and reviewers assigned.  Assists with workforce planning and maintains liaison between Accreditation and Certification Operations and strategic planning initiatives.  In conjunction with operations teams, ensures that organizations receives excellent customer service and that their accreditation and certification needs are met.  Provides program specific knowledge specific knowledge and information to internal and external customers.

 Requirements RN with a master's degree in management or a related field.  At least five years of managerial experience in a hospital setting and knowledge of Joint Commission policies, standards, survey, accreditation and certification process.  Disease-specific care/disease management experience required. Up to 50% travel.

We are the only faith-based hospital in the area with expanded services in cardiology, neuroscience, orthopedics, oncology and pediatrics.
