• MHF/ACCN Exhibits at ACC:  Chicago, IL
  We will be exhibiting at the annual Scientific Sessions of the American College of Cardiology in Chicago, IL.
  March 30-April 1, 2008 at McCormick Convention Center
  Do stop by to visit and receive a gift from the Late Henry Marriott's personal library of references.
  
  
• Cardiovascular Nursing Symposium: Las Vegas
  The ACCN will host its annual CVN Conference in Las Vegas at Hotel to be determined.  October 15-17, 2008
  (two days of conference, one half day of exams).
  
  
• Cardiovascular Nursing Fellowship Program: Saint Francis Hospital, Evanston, IL
  
  Fellowship Director:  Eun Goldstein, MA, BSN, CVRN, FACCN
  Contact Eun Goldstein for her CVRN Fellowship Program schedule.  The program is a 12-week event and is open to any nurse who can come to Chicago for a 12-week internship in Cardiovascular Nursing.  The Saint Francis Hospital has been selected by the Marriott Heart Foundation and American College of Cardiovascular Nurses as a CVRN Fellowship Program site, and as the Chicago area CVRN Board Certification Exam site by the American Board of Cardiovascular Medicine and Credentialing.  Saint Francis was selected for this critical role due to their longstanding devotion to the education and CVRN Certification.  They currently have 157 Board Certified Cardiac Nurses working in all areas of cardiac nursing.   Eun Goldstein has had a 100% success rate not only with her CVRN students, but with her CCRN students; and as a result, has been nominated as the Nation's first CVRN Fellowship Program Director. 
  
  Eun Goldstein is also currently the President of the American College of Cardiovascular Nurses and we are very proud to be under her contagious educational leadership.   Let us all welcome and emulate Eun Goldstein's efforts on a national basis. 
  
  
• New Chapter Formed in Chicago, at Saint Francis Hospital, Evanston, IL.  The new chapter name is Chicago Affiliate Chapter of ACCN which is under the leadership of Eun Goldstein as its first President and Mark Kosla, BSN, CVRN-II, FACCN as its first Vice President.
  
• Angelique Richard, PhD, Director of Patient Care Services blessed the inaugural meeting February 26, 2008.
  
• Eun Goldstein, MA, RN, CCRN, CVRN-II, FACCN, President of New Chapter (CAC-ACCN), opening the meeting and electing officers.
  CAC-ACCN Chapter Members formed officially on 2/26/2008. 
  First speaker was Dr. Muhammad Sikander Akbar, invasive cardiologist, whose talk was titled:  Looking Beyond the Angiogram (CE credits were awarded). 
  
  
  
• Pharmacology Session: Valley of the Sun Affiliate Chapter of the American College of Cardiovascular Nurses
  Phoenix, AZ
